About

FOOTHILLS TREE SERVICE is a unique tree company, specializing in advanced climbing and rigging techniques, accessing areas modern cranes and bucket trucks cannot. Our practices have far less of an impact on your landscape than these large rigs do, and we use efficient, eco-friendly tools and techniques. We rely on knowledge and innovation to minimize the overall impact our industry has while providing you a service. By using the least amount of resources, we save ourselves time and money, which we then pass on to our customers. Our business philosophy keeps overhead low and our services both affordable and competitive. Tree work is inherently dangerous, labor intensive and leaves little room for error. When the right machine is called for depending on the scope of work to be completed, we’ll keep wisdom, efficiency and the environment in mind.

FOOTHILLS TREE SERVICE is an eco-conscious company, with over 16 years of experience in the tree care industry. As a naturalist, teacher, tree climber and green practitioner, I have an immense appreciation for the environment and am dissatisfied with the waste and misuse of valuable, authentic resources. I currently own and operate two sustainable businesses that provide quality and environmentally responsible products and services. We are fully aware of the impact our industry has on the environment, and strive to minimize the scope of it. We continue to find new ways of using unwanted tree material as resources within the confines of the local region and economy.

FOOTHILLS TREE SERVICE services Saratoga, Albany, Schenectady, Washington, Warren, and Fulton Counties. We are professional, experienced tree climbers, riggers, loggers and naturalists.  For your protection as well as ours, we are fully insured with worker’s compensation and Commercial Liability Insurance.

We believe in a sustainable economy – one that uses local resources of labor and materials, is innovative and flexible, and can sustain itself indefinitely by working with the environment.

We look forward to meeting you and discussing your tree care needs. Contact us for a FREE Estimate.

Testimonials

  • Hello Mr. Walsh, just wanted to let you know how great it was to read the story about you saving the cat that had been up in a tree for 5 days. The photographer, Barbara Livingston is one of my friends and I found out through her! I live in PA, but shared the story and really just wanted to thank you personally for being a HERO and an animal lover. Glad to know there are still good folks in the world!
